Vegan [vee-gn]: Veganism denotes a philosophy and way of
living that seeks to exclude, as far as possible, all forms
of exploitation of, and cruelty to, nonhuman animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit
of humans, nonhumans and the environment. Vegans avoid all animal produce: meat (including chicken and fish), eggs, animal milks, honey, and their derivatives.

ABOUT VEGAN VOICE

Do you believe that we, as humans, have a moral responsibility to our environment, to treat it with care and respect? Do you think that other animals have the right to enjoy life without fear of human abuse?

The vegan movement is founded on a belief in compassion for all beings. Vegans strive not to exploit animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. Becoming vegan is one of the most environmentally responsible choices you will ever make, and the healthiest.

VEGAN VOICE is a quarterly magazine for those who want to practise respect for all life.
An independent publication, it promotes a nonviolent way of living that is beneficial to
the planet and to all animals, both human and nonhuman. It also helps provide a
platform for like-minded groups and individuals.

A year's subscription costs just $AU25. If you want to stay informed about veganism and animal rights, as well as nutritional and environmental issues, VEGAN VOICE is
the magazine for you.

"Veganism isn't just a strict vegetarian diet; it is a complete philosophical viewpoint. It is practical in outlook, simple to understand and aspires to the highest environmental and spiritual values. I am sure it holds the key to a future lifestyle for
a humane planetary guardianship." - Howard Lyman, former
cattle rancher, international lecturer, author of Mad Cowboy
